POLICY

1. Lesson Payments

  • Lesson fees will be divided into two terms.
  • All 5 post-dated cheques are required at start of each Term.
  • Each cheque should be post-dated for the first day of every month.
  • The monthly lesson fee total for each month must be paid in full. No deductions will be made for any reason (family vacations, business meetings/trips, school events, sport conflicts, etc.).
  • All cheques should be made out to Da Capo.

2. Lesson Cancellations

  • All lessons listed below will be deducted from your monthly payments at the beginning of each Term:
    1. lessons cancelled by the instructor, and
    2. lessons that fall on Canadian Calendar Holidays.
  • Students are required to provide the teacher with 24 hour advance notice to cancel a lesson.
  • If less than 24 hours is given, the student will not be eligible for a make-up session.
  • Students are allowed to have two cancelled lessons per Term. If more than two lessons were missed in each Term, the teacher is not required to provide additional make-up sessions.
  • If a student misses a scheduled make-up session for any reason, the student will not be granted another date for that particular missed lesson.
  • Cancelled lessons will be made-up during the course of the school year. (Sept. 2018 to June 2019)
  • Make-up sessions will not extend into the summer months. Students cannot use make-up sessions as a form of payment for Summer Class Tuition.
  • If a student terminates lessons, there will be no refunds given from outstanding make-up lessons.

3. Commitment

  • A weekly lesson time for the Term/Year is a purchase of a teacher and studio time. A booked time-slot remains committed to the student whether the student attends lessons or not. Once your scheduled lesson time is in place, it is expected that your commitment to the study of music will have priority.

4. Suspension of Lessons

  • Da Capo reserves the right to terminate lessons and refund any tuition if the student has;
    1. poor attendance record,
    2. does not express a willingness to learn, or
    3. does not abide with the payment plan.

Thank you for your co-operation.
